Rachel+Mitchell {Tuscaloosa, AL Wedding}

And now begins our 2012 wedding season in earnest! While there were a couple of weddings between January of this year and the end of March, Rachel & Mitchell’s Tuscaloosa, AL wedding was the official jump-off for one of our favorite times of year. It was a beautiful day, with a ton of familial history at both the ceremony and reception venues (First Presbyterian Church and The University Club, respectively). Fun fact: Rachel’s parents performed the ceremony at Carrie & Alberto’s wedding in Eufaula a couple of years back; it’s always nice how these things can come back to you in nice ways down the line. In the midst of wedding season, we still find plenty of time for family & children portraits. Much of that has happened in the studio as of late, either because of age or because of weather, so Leah’s one-year session was a nice (literal) breath of fresh air as we were able to venture outdoors and photograph her just being an adorable little one-year-old girl. Now that our 2012 wedding season is moving full steam ahead, we can finally begin sharing the bridal portrait shoots we’ve done so far, and to kick it off, we’re featuring Mary Beth’s stunning bridal session, photographed right here in the heart of Montgomery, Alabama. While Wynfield Estate borders right against Blount Cultural Park (at the Shakespeare Festival), it was like being in an entirely different world; it feels like one of those super-swank locales you really only see in interior design & home magazines. We were fortunate enough that Mary Beth’s wedding reception was booked for Wynfield, giving her a little extra access before the big day; the Estate isn’t exactly a public space (in the sense that one does not simply walk in without explicit permission). But we were doubly fortunate that we had such a beautiful bride to photograph in this amazing little hidden jewel of a space. So, go ahead and click on through for lots more.
