“Having been best friends for six years, Andrew and I were ecstatic by the time our wedding day rolled around. I had been praying for beautiful weather for ten months, and we were blessed by the most perfect day in October. The day went by in the blink of an eye, so we are truly thankful that we have images that capture memories of this special day with our friends, family, and each other.” 

Welcome to our first wedding entry of 2013! Well… the wedding was in the fall of 2012, but we’re finally catching up to blogging about it now, and boy, is it a beauty! Linley & Andrew exchanged vows at the beautiful Shoal Creek Country Club in Birmingham, AL and we’re not certain they could have picked a more perfect “fall in Alabama” day. Engagement sessions are important for a few reasons. For one, it’s a good chance for photos of a couple in what is a relatively relaxed atmosphere- just hangin’ around, being sweet, dressed up, and oh! Someone’s photographing us! But perhaps the more important reason is to give us a chance to meet & connect with a couple, long before the wedding day actually rolls around. It’s because of this opportunity that we know with certainty, when the sun rises tomorrow and we make our way to Birmingham for Meredith & Andrew’s wedding, we are in for a great day, shooting a couple who are very much in love and fit very squarely within the definition of “fun.” Andrew is an absolute riot (as evidenced above), and Meredith is right there with him. From Ross Bridge Park to downtown Birmingham and on to their favorite sports bar, these two were a world of fun to work with; we’re in for even more tomorrow. Click through for more!
